TOKYO: A brave Indian women's hockey team put up a gritty performance but it was not enough to secure a maiden Olympic final berth as it lost 1-2 to world no.2 Argentina in a hard-fought semifinal of the ongoing Games on Wednesday.

In continuation of my thought, I was saying that women or men hockey was covered with little importance, but cricket takes lot more space than all games combined. India needs to give equal importance to other games to flourish. India and China have almost comparable population, but Chinese are not crazy for cricket (as it takes major time for the entire India when the matches are taking place), and they have given much superior performance in the Olympic, but in comparison India performance was dismal. We need to encourage other games and our players equally like cricket (maybe even more).

說下我的想法，無論男女曲棍球隊都不重要，板球所占的資源比其他運動加起來都要多。印度需要給予其他運動同等的重視才能強大起來。印度和中國的人口幾乎相當，而中國人對板球并不瘋狂，他們在奧運會上的表現要好得多，而相比之下印度的表現令人沮喪。我們需要鼓勵其他運動的發展。

From a 12 pace in the previous olympics to a 3 or 4 th place, ii would say thats a massive improvement. It was always going to be a tough match, but the women have done themselves proud with a good performance. The higher ranked teams have lived up to their reputation and have fully earned their place in the final. All the best to them, may the best team win.

Indians lack endurance, stamina, fitness and more over proper international professional coaches. Indian coaches are totally useless. India is not a sporting country. 1.plus population and they cannot produce good professional athletes. It's a big shame on them. India's sports minister is a laughing matter. The clown has no knowledge about sports.
